    Young Adults

    Our young adults—mostly young married couples, young professionals, recent college graduates and graduate students—focus on personal growth, building community and sharing the love of God.

    Parents of Children & Youth

    A dedicated parent group meets during Circle Up, a comprehensive ministry curriculum for kids, youth & parents. the group meets the every 1st and 3rd Sunday from 5–7p.m. which includes a snack supper.

    Senior Adults

    Growing in faith never stops. Through opportunities for worship, fellowship, service and learning, Second-Ponce senior adults (a.k.a Prime Timers) share the love of God in the prime of their lives.

Adult Sunday School Classes

Build community and deepen discipleship by finding a Sunday School class. Pick one or visit multiple classes to find the one that’s right for you. Click the + beside each class name for a description and meeting room.

  • The Bridge Builders Class is filled with active discussion based upon study of the Bible and other resources. Members are engaged in multiple ministries throughout the church and the local community. The objective of the class is to grow in faith and love for our God, our neighbor, and one another, while living in a way that honors the teachings and standards set forth by Jesus Christ.

    Members: Co-ed, primarily ages 30-55

  • This is a group of men who meet for study and fellowship. The vision and mission of the class is to be Godly men involved in the life of the church.

    Members: Men, ages 60 to 80+

    Room: B-109 (Opening Assembly)

  • The Friendship class offers small group Bible study and discussion taught by a rotating group of teachers. Members gather in fellowship together at various lunches throughout the year and care for each other through prayer and visiting in each other’s homes.

    Members: Women, ages 60 to 80+

  • The Gloriana class offers small group Bible study and discussion taught by a rotating group of teachers. They gather in fellowship together at various lunches throughout the year and care for each other through prayer and visiting in each other’s homes.

  • The Grace Class is focused on an in-depth study of the Scriptures and their application to family life, work, and our role in the world outside of the four walls of the church. The values of the class are authenticity, thoughtfulness, racial diversity among their members, praying for Atlanta and the world, and serving in the various communities in the metro area.

    Members: Co-ed, single and married. All ages are enthusiastically welcomed but our predominant age is 50+

  • New Covenant focuses on Bible Study, fellowship, member support and mission outreach. They meet in an informal, round-table format to enrich each other by sharing our differing perspectives and various life experiences.

    Members: Concentrated in the early 50’s to the early 60’s but younger and older members are welcome to enrich our class.

  • We are an energetic, diverse group of people who enjoy fellowship and studying God’s Word together. Our four teachers rotate weekly, each bringing a different style and method to our study. Discussion enriches our experience together.

    Members: Co-ed single adults and married couples, ages 60 to 80+

  • A class for young professionals and college students that meets weekly for traditional Bible study and once a month for dinner on Tuesdays.

    Members: young professionals and college students, co-ed, adults under 35

    SPdLU

    On Wednesday nights at 6 p.m., we host SPdLU or “Second-Ponce de Leon University,” where we delve into biblical and topical issues through book studies, guest speakers and small group work. Check out current and upcoming topics on our event calendar.

    If you can’t make it to our Wednesday night SPdLU, you can watch session videos on our Youtube page. We have a section just for discipleship videos, and topics range from spiritual disciplines to identifying your God-given streangths. You can also watch our archive of streamed worship services.

    Prayer

    Throughout your prayer life, Second-Ponce commits to joining you as a faithful prayer partner. On our prayer page, you’ll find guided prayer suggestions, a year’s worth of monthly focused prayer themes and access print and digital prayer resources. You can also share prayer requests with our church staff.
