Introducing Realm

Introducing Realm

By Karen Harwell & Julianne Acuff Watts

Have you ever had to call the church office to get someone's updated address or make certain the contribution you mailed had arrived? Or worse, forgotten to call until the office had already closed? With Realm, SPdL's new secure, online database, you will have access to all sorts of information—anytime, anywhere.

The SPdL administrative staff are already using Realm and now it's time to roll out the system to the congregation. With Realm, you can have secure access to the online directory, your private giving records and a calendar of church events. You will be able to look up member contact information and RSVP to events using Realm. We are already using Realm to record Sunday School and small group attendance. We will soon begin using Realm's robust communication tools for congregational care, serving teams and discipleship groups.

In the next few weeks, we will be emailing you an invitation to join Realm. To get started, all you have to do is follow the instructions in the invitation. You can access Realm from any computer's web browser or from your smart device using the free Realm Connect app. Once you have created your account, you decide what information will be included in our online directory. Ready to sign up now? Click here for more details on how to get started.

Does technology intimidate you? Don't worry. We are here to help. We will be holding information/help sessions both in person and on Zoom. We will also be taking pictures to include in the online directory.  Watch the Signal for dates and information!

In January and February, the emphasis will be on getting members set up in Realm and filling out the online directory. After that we will be phasing in more and more of Realm's capabilities.

We look forward to helping our congregation find new ways to connect and communicate. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact one of us:
