WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY
Tuesdays, February 5–March 26 at 9:30 a.m. in Room B-130
Join us for an 8-week study of Ruth Haley Barton’s Sacred Rhythms. Together we will learn about seven spiritual disciplines and practice them individually and as a group. The study will include in-class discussion of weekly readings and a short video segment. We will explore disciplines related to scripture, solitude, Sabbath, discernment and self-examination. Participants can choose to order their own new or used book (or e-reader) or order one through the group ($16). ASH WEDNESDAY SERVICE
March 6 at 6:15 p.m. in the Chapel
Begin the season of Lent with a worship service on Ash Wednesday. We will have our regular supper in the Fellowship Hall at 5 p.m. and then move to the Chapel for a time of worship.

SPdL SINGLES’ SUPPER CLUB: BUFORD HWY RESTAURANT TOUR
Thursdays through March 21; 6:30 p.m.
Single friends of all ages and backgrounds, are you looking for something fun to do over these next few months while the weather is blah? SPdL Singles are planning to share a meal Thursday evenings at different restaurants along Buford Highway. Our next stop is Panahar on March 7. RSVP to Ashley Webb at 770.653.6517.

SAVE THE DATE: FAMILIES ON MISSION DAY
March 9 from 10 a.m.–noon
Families will take part in service projects for senior adults.

TEACHER THANKS LUNCH

PATHWAYS LUNCH FOR SENIOR ADULTS
Tuesday, March 19 at noon in the Fellowship Hall; $8/person
Pathways lunches allow senior adults to take a trip without leaving the church building. We will gather in the Fellowship Hall for a delicious meal and then David Hull will “take us on a trip” to Thailand. PHOENIX FLIES HISTORICAL TOUR OF SECOND-PONCE
Wednesday, March 20 at 2 p.m.; meet at the North Bridge
Once again, Second-Ponce is part of the Atlanta Preservation Center’s annual Phoenix Flies which offers free tours of historic sites around the city. The merger of the three churches, the history of the Sanctuary and the Chapel, the Möller organ and the Civil War steeple bell will all be highlighted by Church Historian John Roma. The tour is open to the public and the congregation. Check out the resource wall for more!

OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE
The Inviting Team is sharing an opportunity to serve the guests who will be touring our church on Wednesday, March 20 as part of the annual Phoenix Flies tour of historical Atlanta sites. You can provide home-baked cookies, brownies and/or cake for a reception at the end of the tour or serve as host/hostesses helping tour goers feel warmly welcomed to Second-Ponce. ANSWERING THE CALL TO PRAY: A MINI-WORKSHOP ON PRAYER
Saturday, March 23; 9 a.m.–3 p.m.; Cathedral of St. Philip
Looking for a way to spiritually prepare for Holy Week during the season of Lent? Desiring to learn more about prayer? Answering the Call to Pray is a workshop with a focus on seeking the presence and love of God in our lives through prayer. Three sessions will be led by Carl McColman, a Christian writer, speaker and teacher from Decatur. The cost is $25 (with
lunch included). The SPdL Teaching Church Team is pleased to sponsor the registration fee for the first 15 members who register by contacting

MIAMI MISSION TRIP INFORMATIONAL MEETING
