Precious Prayers: The Kids’ Club Prayer Wall
As May draws to a close, we're wrapping up our Writing to God prayer emphasis. But before we transition to the June focus, we wanted to share an opportunity to engage children in our Year of Passionate Prayer. Check out how our Kids' Club is writing their prayers, and consider doing the same activity with the littles in your lives.
Precious Prayers: The Kids' Club Prayer Wall
Rev. Allie Osborne, our Minister of MIssions and Children's Discipleship, shares about the Kids' Club prayer wall project and how it has helped our children grow in their own prayer lives.
Over the past year, our kids have been using a prayer wall to talk to God. We use this prayer wall to practice thanksgiving, adoration, confession and supplication in a tangible (and colorful) way. Kids can thank God, pray for themselves and others, write a note or draw a picture for God about ANYTHING!
My favorite moments in this project are when our kids remember the prayer they wrote the previous week and want to dig through the pockets to find and transfer it to the “answered prayers.” They can physically see God working in their lives!
For the past year, these prayers have lived in the Kids’ Club, but the folders have become so full of prayers that they are falling off the wall! So it’s time to look back over a year of prayer and thank God for listening to us and loving us. And they’re just too precious not to share.
